SXSW: Stories of the Digital Divide
At SXSW 2011, there were tweets where people were just coming to the realization that not everyone out there has a smart phone or tablet. This panel is designed to demonstrate how those who live and work in communities with limited access cope and compensate.
T
he panel will represent people from rural areas and communities of color that deal with these issues every day. Discussion will be around obstacles to and solutions for getting broadband access, as well as how people creating sites and online tools that want to reach these audiences can engage with them.
