My name is Trina Martinez of the Navajo Nation. I am a Native American Music Band Manager/Promotions/Consultant. I first started in 2000 assisting John Longbow of Longbow Guitars establish a marketing strategy to market his guitars to the Native American Music Community. At the time there were no such place on the internet solely for Native Musicians. That lead me to create Native Tongue Magazine (Ezine) for Native Musicians. This website was up for about 4 years. I then wanted to concentrate more on assisting musicians with the business side of music because I had seen alot of my friends struggling with understanding the music business. Ultimately, any music artist wants to break through to the mainstream industry and getting there is difficult and has many business roadblocks. So thats where I step in. I assist my artist with management/promotions/consultant work. I assist them with getting their whole business structure for the band in order. This music business is so vast. I am constantly learning new topics and share the with my bands. I am currently a member of the NM Music organization. I also book my bands for regional gigs when I can. I am currently assisting Souls on Monday (Coushatta), Gabriel Ayala (Yaqui), Incide (Navajo), and many others.
